About Us
The TCI Preservation Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the historic buildings and community spaces of Terra Ceia Island, Florida.
Terra Ceia Island is one of Florida's oldest settled coastal communities, with a rich heritage rooted in agriculture, fishing, and civic leadership. Many of the island's historic structures have served as gathering places for generations and represent the history, culture, and spirit of the island community.
Preserving these spaces ensures that Terra Ceia's story continues to be shared with future generations. The foundation was established to provide a transparent and organized way for residents, supporters, and community partners to help protect the island's historic landmarks and shared spaces.
Our mission is to beautify and protect Terra Ceia Island, preserve and pass on Terra Ceia history, and support our community through the stewardship of historic buildings and community spaces.
Supporting preservation efforts for the historic Village Improvement Association (VIA) Hall, home to one of Florida's oldest continuously operating women's civic organizations. The building has served as a central gathering place for community events and meetings for generations.
Helping support repairs and preservation of the Terra Ceia community dock, another important shared space that connects residents and visitors to the island's waterfront heritage.
The TCI Preservation Foundation is led by volunteers who care deeply about protecting the unique character and history of Terra Ceia Island. Through donations, partnerships, and community engagement, we aim to ensure these historic places remain part of the island's identity for generations to come.
